Youssef Achour, Chairman of the UpCoop cooperative and the Up group

Elected Chairman by the cooperative's employee-members in 2019, Youssef Achour was re-elected by the new Board of Directors in June 2023.

Youssef Achour, is Chairman of the UpCoop Cooperative (the first Scop to become a company with a mission in France) and of the Up Group.

He has also been Chairman of the CRESS IDF since April 2022, Vice-Chairman of the Commission Nationale du Titre Restaurant, Director of Impact France and member of the CG-Scop IDF.


His background 


Involved in the SSE since his student days, he has been active in the associative sector in Seine Saint-Denis, working for the integration of local young people, migrant populations and isolated women. 


After completing a post-graduate degree in Management-Finance at the University of Paris XIII, Youssef Achour began his professional career in financial functions at companies such as CNIT La Défense, Les Éditions La Découverte and the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations.


Youssef Achour joined the Group in 1999 to work on business development and diversification. An elected director of the UpCoop cooperative since 2007, he initiated and supported technological change strategies until 2008, when he was appointed General Manager of French activities, excluding prepaid vouchers. In 2014, he was appointed Managing Director, France, then, in 2017, Director of the Europe-Mediterranean Zone (Italy, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Tunisia, etc.).
