Reduce our energy consumption to allow as many people as possible to benefit from it

While 1.5 billion out of 7 billion people are still without electricity, this World Energy Day (October 22, 2021) revives the debate between the use of fossil fuels, often polluting, and renewable energies. provided by nature.

It is difficult to talk about energy without addressing the crucial question of ecology and sustainable development, and therefore of the impacts linked to the production and use of it.

Within the Up Group, actions to reduce greenhouse gases constitute the heart of its carbon strategy.

Through its Group environmental policy, carbon impact reduction plans are set, one of the axes of which is to tend towards greater energy and resource sobriety.

This is reflected in particular by the consumption of renewable energies: nearly 98% of the energy consumed by the Group's head offices is from a sustainable source (green electricity and biomass) in 2020.

7 Group entities are particularly committed to this approach: Alios, CEV, Cityzen, Kalidéa and Up in France, not to mention Up Day in Italy and Up Monizze in Belgium.

Since 2017, the Up Group has chosen to supply most of its French regional agencies and its head office with 100% renewable and cooperative electricity supplied by Enercoop.
